Your manifold will not rip out the exhaust studs, it will crack inside, as they all do, but this is to do with heat cycling, the same as the bypass seat cracks in the turbos, doesn't ordinarily cause an issue.
The trousers is part of the 2wd type, which has manifold that points much further down towards the floor than your 4wd type, it then needs extending(upwards) and this extension piece looks like a pair of trousers, on the end of the trousers bolts the turbo, a lot easier to understand if you see one than to describe.
NVH is Noise Vibration Harshness, three key letters for any manufacturer, to try and reduce, the damper does just that, it dampens any buzzing sensation you might get from the engine felt in the inside of the car.
