Default Removing Handbrake Cable

Hi,

I have a new cable on the way so am removing my old one or trying to at least, Ive removed the cable from the operating levers, and everything else seems ok but I can't however remove the cable from the caliper, apparently according to the manual there is supposed to be a circlip, however on mine there does not seem to be on both sides there are just sold round bezels, i have tried to pry these off thinking this will release it but it still does not seem to want to budge, any help ASAP with this will be greatly appreciated as I want to try and have it removed by today.

Thanks,

Martin

Thats what it was in the end, surprisingly though mine did not have the circlips, are they still avaliable from Ford?

I know this is an epic thread revival but ive got a question off the back of this.....

Can i just swap the cable without having to worry about bleeding the brakes afterwards?

Cheers

As a tip, make a mark on the actuator positions, relative to caliper position, before removing.
