New to this forum, didn't see a bit for introductions.

I have a Focus 1.6 Zetec (MY02).

I've been having a look behind the dash for trip computer wiring - none there. What I did find though was a small connector with two wires going into it. One is orange with a yellow stripe, the other black.

Anyone know what this is for?

The orange with a yellow stripe, the black wires are for the ashtray light, all it need is a small capless bulb

Best way to check if you have the wiring in for the trip computer is take a look at the indicator switch to see if you have a black/yellow wire going into pin 10 of the multi plug

 

Yep, as expected, no trip computer for me.

Plumbed in that light, but it offers no real benefit to me as I just have a slide out tray, rather than an ash tray.

could you please give me your oppinion (as I saw above that you know a lot) where should I search to find schematic/diagram for the Focus ghia MKI trip computer?
The specific part (trip computer) in the back side has a plug whith 26 pins. I need to know which of them gives/supply power (+), which nutral (-) and which gives to the LCD light when you have to turn on the lights at night?
