ive got a misfire up to 3000rpm, after that is seems to disappear but the car is down on power revving a lot slower than it should, so far i have changed:

Both lambdas
Fuel filter
All 6 injectors
The fuel rail
Sparkplugs
coilpack
ignition leads

ran my obd scanner and got some codes

p0401 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Flow Insufficient Detected), expected as ive removed the egr
p1131
p1151 (running lean)
p0171 (running lean)

apparently running lean could be a fuel pump issue or fuel pressure?


regarding fuel pressure, i bought something a while ago, can i use this to test the pressure if i remove the schrader valve and pop a hose, would that work ok?



engine is a duratec v6, really hoping someone can help.

 

i dont know what im on about but the maf? unplug it then run it ... fuel filter.. go to the local srappies get a ecu and try a ecu mate its probably the ecu .. mate of mine had a similar problem so he borrowed a mates ecu and it ran perfect[e30 bmw though] ...i have a prob with my rs turbo as u tryed helping . my mate had one and if u aint too far ill unplug his 4 u if that would help

 

i read ur post properly now and i think its your fuel pump chap sounds fucked so replace that and the filter and while u do that just check all the fuel lines. like i said i dont no anything im no mechanic im only telling you what i hear from others from probs i have had
