hi guys i have a problem with my mondeo st 155 at slow speeds when turning the wheel, especially left it creaks. it doesnt do it at above 20, i can feel it through the steering wheel, also i can feel that the steering doesnt feel solid which makes me think there is something loose somewhere!! any ideas?? help would be really appreciated as i only got it last week and can have the garage fix any problems, they are already replacing the aux belt pulley and tensioner next wed...

 

mine does the same,only hear it when manouvering at very low speeds,cant feel anything through the steering though and the dealer couldnt find anything,its also passed an mot so its not a worn bush etc. think it might be one of these issues i need to let get worse before it can be pinpointed. bloody annoying though

 

i used to get this on my st200. drove me mad! i replaced loads of bushes etc but never found it and gave up with in the end!

 

Ive come across this a few times, the strut top mount bearing is causing the grown.

 

there's a bolt you need to change, but i can't find the link to tell you which one it is in the steering column
