how do you remove the drive shaft as a hole from the diff,do you have to remove the diff cover to access a cir-clip?

 

correct. theirs a cir-clip on the inside that needs removed

 

easy removed, take off diff cover (drain oil) and theres a circlip, it has a hole to pull it out at the back/top of the circlip but its easier to hold 2 screwdrivers at the 2 ends and tap 1 screwdriver. btw im not great at explaining things so sorry if that sounds confusing
