had a very enjoyable run up the A1 years ago in a pinto turbo rs2000 it went very well indeed

the chap on turbosport is doing a great job too, the biggest issue is sorting a exhaust manifold to suit the turbo but imo the rest of the parts are either cosworth parts or oe injection pinto
if i was going to build one it would have to be EFI

can buy exhaust manifold kits to do yourself for the pinto, so that aint a problem, to4e turbo with an external gate at 22 psi would be awesome!

dont bother mate

i had a mk2 rs2000
with an original tt converted pinto turbo set up

was shit mate

best of using a zetec or st170 engine

the pinto kept destroying bottom ends with only 4 psi

i would use a cossie bottom end if you did go ahead with it

Sammy @ GS Escorts has built a lovely Pinto turbo. Cossie pistons, homemade manifold, EFi inlet and FRST management.

I had one (13 years ago) pretty sure the exhaust manifold was turbo technics. The fuelling was via a renault solex turbo carb (yes r5 gtt) obviously re-jetted. The guy that did mine did loads of conversions like this and made some really rapid conversions.
