Default Transit Connect- Now Starts but leak oil like mad.

Firstly, thanks to everyone who replied on my non start thread.

Upon it starting its revealed quite an issue.

It leaks oil like mad from behind the crankshaft pulley. I removed it all when I got the new engine to fit a new timing chain. When you start the engine oil comes out the seal like mad!

Anyone had this. I've tried the old pulley and another seal and it still comes out!

Was there an oil slinger fitted on the inside of the front cover that you might have forgotten to re-fit? I think the old Kent engine had a similar device to keep oil away from the circular seal?

The oil pump sits directly behind the pulley in the timing chain cover. And I didn't take the oil pump apart so I'm guessing no. There's nothing like that
