Default What colour to paint my van?

Hi guys,

I am in the middle of rebuildng my mk6 escort van. It has rs2000 recaros/bumper/mirrors/steering wheel, etc etc to go into it, but mainly been focusing on the bodywork (new sills, arches etc) it also has the 1.8 tdi engine in it.

It has now came the time though to paint nearly (few bits to finish rubbing down over the weekend) but I am stuck which colour to paint it?? It is currently the usual white, but after looking at some pictures, I am wondering wether a change of colour would be wise?

Any opinions and pics would be great.

cheers

if you are handy with a welder and a grinder they are easy. Done the rear arches too as they were starting to get the usual rot bug, but they were a lot better than most of them going about, but thought whilst i was doing it properly might aswell do the lot.

the sideskirts are going to hide the sills anyway

I'm having the same thoughts mate , currently doing a mk4 van.
I want to stay away from the usual colours like blues , white , reds and black.
I fancy mallard green or the vw blackberry , i even looked at the tourmaline green off the mk3 granny.
Depends if you want to blend in or stand out from the crowd.

fit like wattie!!! aye i think frozen white is going to be the colour, dont want the van to stick out to much, just want it to look clean fresh and simple, yet smart! Although seen pics of a mk6 van painted imperial blue with mk1 focus rs wheels, and it looked good.

Just finished running in the electric windows/central locking loom today, and underneath all sprayed with schutz (and my face covered in speckles too!)

Need to get another lead for my phone so I can start a progress thread.
