Default stale fuel

whats the timescale anyone would still use unleaded in a high performance car if been in storage?

best just to top it up or drain and put new in?

if i have it to drain its going in the daily car price of fuel now

personally i'd just top it up. i had my turbo sat for 6 months and i still started it on the same fuel, let it warm up then drove it to the petrol station to stick £20 in.
like you say its too expensive to fuck with now. i used to fill up a jerry can every now and again just to clean parts with . i can't do that now!

TBH it depends on the storage conditions. I've had cars with fuel many years old that have been fine yet others that have been only 6 months or so old that wouldn't run. You can usually smell if it's gone off or not. Manky fuel smells rank, doesn't have the kick that it should have, more like stale water.
