Default Parts compatability

Just picked up a 1.8 CVH Estate.
What I need to know before spending any money is, What parts from the Cosworth/XR models will fit? I.E. Suspension etc.?
Also, The CVH is being binned, What will I need to change if anything, To fit a Pinto?
Cheers in advance.

All the suspension will fit at the front, along with the front anti roll bar from a cossie, at the rear not sure as can't remember the estate layout, despite having had one!!
For pinto/cossie not much needs changing, apart from the obvious engine/exhaust/box if wanting a T5 ?.
I'd seriously consider if wanting to go the cossie route buying a crashed/damaged cossie, as likely to be cheaper in the long run.
Brakes can be 2wd cossie by tapping the hub lug out to 14mm, already the right size just needs threading/tapping like I did on my 2.0gl mk1 sierra.

Cheers people.
May as well keep the type 9 as it's in pretty good nick, And I won't be chucking mega power through it.
Won't go the Cossie engine route as it's being used as a daily, So want to keep the costs down, I'm spending enough on the weekend runabout. Can see eBay taking a hammering for bits though

I'd just keep with the 2L pinto, use a 32/36 and if rebuild needed go for +90 V6 pistons for 2086cc, makes a nice car that can give good mpg, you may need to look at diff ratio though with it being estate ?

Yeah was looking at that carb or the DGAS.
There a piece of piss to swap over compared to what I've been driving the last 15 years or so, So some 40's or 45's may be on the list too, Just for the noise really. Lol.

Just another thing. What about the bellhousing for the CVH, Will that match up to the Pinto?
