Default Focus lowering springs

Hi,just after a bit of advise off you guys.On our old Focus I fitted lowering springs and ended up cutting through the rear lower arm bolts because they were seized in the bushes.Removing the old bushes which was a nightmare and using poly bushes. We now have a 2004 one which again I have lowering springs for and again the bolts are seized.I've tried to compress the springs in situ but the threaded bar hits the arm.Has anybody had these problems and any sugestions as to the easiest way round it.I have got new bolts and poly bushes just incase I have to do it that way but was very time consuming last time.Any advise would be greatly appreciated,
thanks
pete

Put the spring clamps INSIDE the spring, up through through the bottom spring cup. Tighten them as much as you can, unbolt the top of the shock absorber from inside the car, then with a mate stood on top of the disc to lever it down, it will come out with a bit of pulling, swearing and sweating!

Thanks for that advise.Managed to do it yesterday at my mates garage, managed to get one spring clamp on the outside, unbolted the shockers and anti-roll bar just to get a bit more movement.Still took three of us though to get the old springs out and the new ones in.Would have liked it a little lower but still a huge improvement, doesn't look like an off roader now

Thanks again
