Default got it running but only when i hold flap down

changed the oil to day on my s2 coz the engine woz totall flooded down to my old metering unit . finaly got it running but only when i push the metering unit flap down a bit and hold it there can any body help me out plz????//

defo an air leak coz my old rs turbo did that but once i found the air leak , it was fine after

were abouts should i be looking m8 every think wots going to metering unit is ok

check all boost pipes too , slightest bit of air leaking will cause this problem

As above, all boost pipes, rocker cover, oil filler cap, dip stick, intercooler may have a hole, injector seals etcetc.

Essentially any thing that isn't air tight will cause this problem.

Your engine is running lean on start-up, or the flap isn't being pulled down due to an air leak.

If you genuinely don't have an air leak you may have a cold enrichment issue, due to a faulty sensor (air or coolant), or defective EMFPR (or what ever the acronym is).

Can you keep the car running with the flap pushed down?
