Default urgent help now with pictures

Right while fitting gearbox back drivers side drive shaft gearbox end has 3 little wheels that have bearings in and slot into driveshaft cup one of the wheels came of sending bearings everywhere where can I get it sorted as I'm pulling my teeth out :-(

You can buy a cv joint kit from a motor factors and try and repair it yourself or just swap the driveshaft over for a reconned one which is the easier option. First can be fiddly on most cars.

Those print outs been any use to you?

Yea they were ace cheers matey it was really nice of you to do that for me the bit I'm on about is like 3 wheels at gearbox end of the shaft that go into 3 grooves in a cup like thing on the gear box and 1 of the wheels came off with all the bearings but not sure where to get a new set of 3 wheels from

Can't see pics as it's blocked at work but sounds like one of the tripod bearings has fallen apart where it goes into the diff, as stated if you get a cv joint kit it should have this part in there.

they are not held on in any way just strip the 3 wheels off clean in diesel re grease with CV grease reassemble

they have about a millon little bars on the inside of the wheel and these are all over the road and they have a split pin on the end which has gone too

yes it looks like a tripod type shape would it be wotrh going to scrap yard if so what cars would i find these on

aha the roller bearing inside has gone usual they hold together with the grease inside iv got a drive shaft i could stip for you and send out the parts you need

nice one thanks mate if only you could see the pics to make sure its the same as your on about ive got a few scrap yards a few miles away i could goto but need to know if there are any other cars with the same style drive shafts as mine rather then waste my time as i rung them and they wanted to know what car it is when i told them mk4 escort he laughed and said i havent seen one of them in about 15 years but i have a zvh lump if this makes a difference

there all the same if the shaft a gen ford one will only cost you a couple quid postage ill see what i can do ill try and put some pics up with measurements

all ford BC gear box utilize the same shaft from what i have seen. same on mk3 fiesta mk2 mk1 defiantly the same on the escort mk4 as i have a set
