Default idleing issues doing my head in

as above when i start my rst s2 up it will idle ok, but if i drive down the road and come to a stop the revs will drop down to say 600 rpm or go up say 1500/1800 rpm and hold there?

so what i do is adjust the throttle cable and or the idle screw to put it back around 800/1000 rpm and buy the time i stop the next time its droped or raised again

iv changed the meter unit and still the same

my hand brake needs sorting out and when it keep stalling in traffic on a hill its a nightmare lol

any advice would be great
thanks diesel

I should think there is an air leak someone, this can cause havvock with the MFI system as well.

no it shouldnt do sounds like a vacume leak, best way ive found to check is get it ticking over nice and spray brake cleaner alone the inlet, vacume and breathers and see if the engine changes note

1st step, take dump valve off. These can cause all sorts of problems. It may not cure it but it's a very good place to start
