what should i put in. a std rst box and how much.....that is all

ep80, 2 litres or until it runs out of the fill hole in the front of the box with the car sitting level.

This is what I use http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-832-silk...-gear-oil.aspx Silkolene PRO SRG 75 Full Ester Synthetic Racing Gear Oil
IIRC you'll get 3 liters in there if completely empty.

it will never be completely empty unless you have had it in bits lol, as ford never put a drain plug in them good design.

well its been on its side in the shed for 18 months ill buy a 3 liter see how i get on should it be fully synthetic

I would buy whats in my link above mate, yes it's fully synth, these box's need the best chance of survival they can get! lol

used engine oil will do fine, chances are it will be getting replaced in a month or so anyway just put anything in it, ep80, atf, ep90, as long as it has oil, the thing that fucks these most is lack of oil, ok, usually cos the diff bearings wear baddly causing all the oil to fall out , then the layshaft bearing fails after that, if something else hasnt first. good luck
