Default Coil

Im in the middle of rebuilding my saff, looking for advice on what coil to go for. It will be 360ish bhp.
I understand grpA coil would be best,
but do you get an upgrade coil that looks like the std one?

The group a is far better than the std coil, but it's a totally different shape, the connectors are different so a seriously simple bit of wiring needed.
Imo coilpack from msd is monumentally overpriced, for near that price you can get another ecu, for a little more a ecu/loom and set up.
The coilpack is NOT a cure all for ignition problems, if even thinking about coilpack the first thing I'd do is ditch the std ecu and go after market, which has coilpack as well as load of other features.

Thanks for the replys guys. Yea, i wont be going to coilpack conversion til i go to aftermarket ecu.
Would the likes of the msd blaster coil be as good as the grpA coil?
As it is the 'can' shape.

I would say a grp A coil and a coil rewire would be the best bet

+1 for the Grp A coil, as said it's totally different shape and wiring though, (Looks like a coil pack) although you can use connectors to save cutting your wiring up.

The msd blaster 2 is massively more powerful than the group a, the msd in this case is nothing to do with msd in blackpool, as you've guessed, I know people who have used the msd blaster 2, to excellent effect, it's a VERY powerful coil, the group a is just a std fit coil on a lancia, but was more powerful than the crap they fitted to the cossie when new, so is still a good upgrade.

Add a msd ignition amplifier like the 6a or 6al to your msd coil, this is as good as it gets without binning the dizzy system for wasted spark.

From my experience over the years with this make, that is very unusual.
