Default Boost Adjustment

Ive just fitted an AMAL valve to my OFAC managed EFi Turbo, previously i'd set the actuator to open at 12psi using a mitivac, now ive put the AMAL valve in and it only holds 7psi. I could bleed valve it up to 12psi again but i don't really want todo this.
Its a -31 actuator with 3-4threads left showing, so it's already wound up quite high. I shouldn't have to wind it all the way in for 12psi surely!?
What is the best way of adjusting the boost?

amal valves regulate the boost and will only let what the manurfactuer settings are, put a blled valve in the pipe from the amal to acutator pipe and bleed it off till you get your required setting
