before i make some cut and shut shafts,

thought id ask as to why no one has just put focus drive flanges in with the mtx cv joints , that way can run standard mtx shatfs.

im a machinist so can skim the back of the drive flanges, and im awear they run parralel bearings not tapered.

has anybody measured the diameter of the drive flanges?

 

The shafts themselves are much longer on any MTX75 equipped car. The RST is quite narrow when compared to a Focus or mk5/6 Escort.

 

Wide track on the front isn't a problem as running compression struts and adjustable tca's
