my fiesta looks great handles well, but to much of a hard ride, and engine is very high revved in all gears,

Focus st170 is looking the choice as a daily driver, as i dont know anyother cars i fancy

 

The ST170 is softer, but still needs the tits revved off it to get moving quickly

If you don't want high revs, get a turbo car, Golf GTi etc.

 

think ill test drive a few focus before make my decision i think. dont want a turbo car for a daily as i have a rs turbo for th summer weekends and that

 

id keep the 150 all day long.
the st170 are thirsty as fook and more for me to insure than my RS

 

the only thing that puts me off now,is the revvy engine, its been lowered but dont know what springs are on it, its a mega hard ride,

the 150 looks awesome tho,rear tints and lowered, and its red also,

 

Fiesta is the better car. I looked at both but decided on the Fiesta. Still love driving it. Good fun and better to look at.

 

i may put eibach springs on it as i know the ride quality is good, i need to find out what springs are on the fiesta at the moment all i know is there red

 

what about standard springs on the fez? the fez did need a 6 speed box imo, the misses is ok, but they are a little firm and tinny, but then it is a little car.

I know it may be daft, but if you really like the car but want a softer ride, maybe the zs wheels with the bigger profile on the tyres for a softer ride?

 

i like the car lowered, think im being picky tbh, ill see what springs i got, if not eibach then ill change them it think

 

Iv had both keep the fez it's a much better car in my opinion

everyone is saying keep the fez, wish it was a little quicker, might get remap for maybe better fuel?

 

what about a switch to a CTR, nicer ride, larger and reasonable poke, yes you have to rev the nellies off it for the full power but they also make placid round the town cars so kind of best of both worlds.

The misses has an ST and i had a couple of CTR's and the CTR was better all round apart from the dash which looked very dated in comparision, but nicer seats, gear position.

 

There is no cheap tuning potential to the st170 unfortunately but the fiesta has great potential. It wont cost much to get the fiesta faster than the 170. The 170 is more refined more of a tourer and its fuel consumption makes it a rubbish daily. Personally i prefer the st170 but i would say that the fiesta felt cheap to.me when i drove one

 

I would not bother with the hassle of swapping motors just for little.performance gain if any.

 

id stay away from the 170, the fiesta st is defo a better car
