Hi,

I've been offered omex by a friend for £800, this includes everything from the inlet to the loom, is this a fair price? More
Importantly is it worth doing as I'm on mfi at the moment..

depends what omex it is omex 600 is circa £600 new and £150 for the loom then u have the cost of mapping and inlet etc all depends what spec the car was it came off

 

Mmm it was of a series 2, running about 170/180, ill be able to sort out the mapping easy enough, just wondering if it was worth £800 all in, id only need it mapped..its omex 600 yeah..

 

Wouldnt say thats to bad of a price to be honest, to have omex 600 fitted on my car came to £1600 all in including mapping.

Thats not a bad price. In fact I'd say that was a damn good price including mapping. There is a bit of work on a management change. A full loom off Omex is £220 (or used to be) and a new 600 was £550 + VAT. Then all the rest of the bits and pieces, fitting, connecting up the harness and doing something with the old harness from the KE stuff.

 

As said its a very good price and if its what your after then would certainly go for it
