Default Duncans Mk5 Fiesta ** Zetec Turbo coming soon **

Hi guys i've been on here a little while now so thought i'd start a little project thread to keep those of you interested updated on my progress

Got the car pretty much standard back in 2009 as my first car, was a cracking little runaround for a while but then one day i decided to track it, so out came the rear bench, sound proofing, doorcards and other interior trim just to lighten it up a bit.

Knockhill at the start of last year was my first track session and must say i loved it, but couldn't help feeling the car would benefit from better brakes, so i got a hold of some 300mm Mondeo brakes and fitted them. A vast improvement. Fitted a Cobra Evolution seat with 3 point Sabelt harness to keep me in.

The car has stood like this for a while but just recently purchased some GAZ Gha coilovers (should be with soon from factory), also now running a set of 15" Comp Th's to give better brake clearances.

But the biggest new update is a 2.1L Zetec Turbo engine just purchased, full spec below

2.1 zetec 16v
wossner piston
arp bolts all through out
focus rs head gasket
area six valve springs
ported head all cleaned and acid dipped
new valve seats
modified rocker cover extra breather
turbo feed
turbo return
braided turbo feed line
cnc focus rs turbo oil return
focus rs turbo had done 33,000 when bought
focus rs exhaust manifold
focus rs inlet manifold
focus rs injectors
2.0 camshafts
new timing belt
new gaskets all round
new thermostat
focus rs spec ngk plugs
magnecor leads
new coil pack

Engine should be with me by the weekend and fitting to begin the start of next month hopefully.

Will update this with better pics and full spec list soon.

Full Spec

Current Spec as of 30/01/11

  • 15" Compomotive Th's in black
  • Fully colour coded, sidestrips removed
  • Foglights removed

  • Boot trim removed
  • OMP Corsica suede deep dish steering wheel - fitting this week

Not that expensive to do, i think taking the new engine out of it it owes me about Ł2500 at the most. Cheap thrills

Been busy today, confirmed payment and pickup of the new engine Picking it up this saturday.

Phoned Simon at Sitech racing to chat over plans for the car and decided i'll be dropping the engine off at his at the end of the month for him to just check the bearings etc.... then once he's in his new unit in Dunfermiline i'll drop the car off for the conversion to start

A few pics of how the car stands today, Enjoy

It was Zoe who emailed me back, would need to spray it myself if i wanted a diff colour as it comes out the muld glass black. Can have it with the vents if i want. I can't find anywhere who just does the rear ones though? only a full kit for like Ł200 with sliders

Aye, I just checked you're. Suppose you could phone and ask them? Gloss black with the vents sounds good, how much is that? It'll look great with the bonnet.

Think it was like Ł250 or thereabouts, only weighs lke 7kg so a hell of a saving over standard

My GAZ coilovers arrived this morning at home, wont be back there for a few weeks so will have to wait for them. My engine is now at Sitech racing getting ready for the conversion, now just trying to finalise gearbox options along with clutches. Also purchased a Focus RS downpipe to save costs on having one fabricated.
