Hi,

I have a knocking noise coming from the rear end of my 04 Tdci focus, i don't know what the noise could be except bushes / shocks perhaps?

Anyone shed any light, it rattles all the time while driving over any road but the smoothest new tarmac?

arb links, broken spring, lose/broken shock maybe

 

are any expensive to fix?

are they a diy job?

 

springs can be a pain in the arse but i doubt its that.

arb links and shocks are piss easy diy.

you need to get undernieth and give everything a good shake to see if anything looks lose then go from there.

 

Most likely the drop links. You can get cheap ones off ebay etc but if you are keeping the car a while I'd get some genuine ones!

 

I have a 02 Focus. Had a look under car, looks fine.
Getting a noise like if u drive with flat tyre. Seems to be from rear O/S.
Just started out of nowhere. Any ideas?
