Default Dutch XR3i RS Track car (track pics added)

Hi guys and girls, my name is Fons, and i am from the Netherlands.
I browse passion ford a lot but never got to making a profile, so know i did.
I have owned 3 escorts so far, 2 RS Turbo's and the one below.
1 RST died tragically the other one i sold to fund my education.

My car at the moment is a mk4 Escort 1.4 (at least it once used to be) which has been completely rebuild for track use. (its also my daily! LOL, thank god the roads in Holland are nice and smooth!!)

It has a tuned 1600 CVH EFI with around 130 hp and most of the suspension, track arms, torsion-bars etc. of a Rs-turbo everything poly bushed of course! also fitted Gaz shocks and springs, Tarox G88 brakes with Ferodo pads. roll-cage, racing seats and 4 point belts. lots more, but pics will tell more then words, so here they are.

After i finish my education this week i'm going to put some serious time in rebuilding it, and make it even better. of course I'll post pics along the way.

Default Fixed my cockpit

Made one FUNCTIONING cockpit from 3 i had lying around. speedometer did what it felt like and my rev meter didn't quite go beyond 3500.

put it some feet rests and pedals as well, cause my co drivers were complaining they could not put their feet down properly.the ungrateful bastards, lol !!

also note the pillow,. haha, got sore buttocks, put some new seats on the wish-list, anyone know some decent comfortable seats but also suitable for racing?

Don't remember if I've seen this car before. You are certainly using it like it's supposed to

What are the plans with it.

You may know it, i bought it from kees. he went to some meetings from the duth xr-rs club. i found it advertised at fordworld.nl

Since i bought it, changed the brakes, some suspension parts under the car. also fixed the bumper mountings, also did the usual service stuff. and put a 90 spec spoiler on it. gave it lots of care as it needed some.

first things on my to do list is to give the interior some new paint. also want to paint the rollcage white, or red, don't know for sure yet.
next is to do the underside, paint all the torsionbars and suspensionparts stuff like that. i'm going to start with everything this week.
almost done with school!!!! for ever!!
so i'm taking a long holiday to put some time into my hobbies, wich includes taking apart and putting back together cars.

Oh lol, if it's Kees old car I do know it. I've been in it for a couple of times around the track of Zolder. The car went really well back in the day. Think it's been 4 or 5 years ago.

Enjoy it mate.
