Default cost and work involved........

to supply and fit all bearings and grind crankshaft on s2 rst.how long does job take,does head have to come off if rings are ok,and cost for the whole job

Its possible to do it without removing the head, but i dont see how you are going to inspect the rings and bores properly with the head on.

If you're going to spend the time replacing the shells and re-grinding the crank you may as well take the head off as it doesn't take very long and you'll be able to inspect the condition of the liners/bores/rings etc. for wear/gap and possible damage. At least you'll know the bottom end is 100%.

In my opinion it's a waste of time otherwise.

regrind 50 quid
bearings would be about 65 quid for mains and bigend
