Default Clock wiring/plug on 2wd sapphire

I cannot find the connector for the std digital clock in the centre dash. Can someone please tell me what colour wires I shld have and if possible a pic of the plug?

I have also 4 wires in the Ford loom that have been cut off but seem in wrong place for the clock - they are Red, Brown, Black with Brown stripe, and Grey with Yellow stripe and are in the same sub loom as the fan control switch. I have a pic of these wires below if it helps, they are at the top centre of the pic.

Any ideas please?

The clock takes a 4 wire connector block with the same colour wires that you have with the cut off connector!!

Looks like the wires at the top of the pic are the ones you need

Excellent! Just what I needed! Part of the fun I guess after buying a shell that had been stripped by Stevie Wonder after a night on the piss! lol But at least I know now and it explains why I cldn't find the plug.

So, next question is does anyone have a spare clock plug with long enough wires out the back to rejoin to my loom?

I may have my old one in the bin still, I'll try and remember to have a look later today for you, and let you know, they are available new cheaply if not anyway.

If you have no luck go to scrappy and cut the wiring back so far as you need so to splice in into the loom. (The clock is specific to high spec models)

looks like you've got the 89 spec car, but the later cars all have the same plug

just try and find a sierra in the scrap yard though

Mine is an 88 car, so it's one of the first sapphires produced. Not sure if the clock is an early or late one as I don't know the difference to be honest. But car is Jan 88 according to the Ford date sticker stuck inside the pillar trims.

If anyone could post up a pic of their clock and what year their car is, that might help me out a bit?

Thanks for all replies so far guys

Yeah that's the one I have. Cheers mate, at least I know I have the original clock. Just need the plug now. Might have one, but I have to buy a rad at the same time to get it thrown in! lol
