Default CVH bottom end on Stage 2 T3?

Just wondering what boost to run my engine at with a standard bottom end and a stage 2 T3?

I ran it before at 15psi but only lasted 2 months.. was thinking about running it at 7psi.

What do people think?

I'd let your tuner decide that.

7psi on a stg2 turbo is pointless, more like 17psi. I had a stg2 turbo for ages and ran 18- 19psi all day long.

So, by the fact that you are saying 'It only lasted 2 months', I assume you are referring to the engine. If so, what do you have now? A new engine??

If so, then the limit to what boost you can run is set by other factors. Intercooler being one. If thats still standard, then 14psi at the absolute most.

Rebuilt Engine??

I would say the restriction will be the Chargecooler. You should be able to run 16-18 psi though, providing it is set up properly, by someone who knows what they are doing.

My Stage 2 T3 has been running 25psi for about 6months without a prob (*touches wood*)

7psi is standard boost I would have thought 15psi would be fine. Speak to your tuner mate they'll be the best people to advise

The engine is only a temp engine... the bottom end isn't rebuilt..

I got the engine off a mate, but everything runs really smooth on it.. have changed sump gasket, rocker gasket, head gasket and given her a full service.
