Default Water pump change on 2002 transit-- any help

I think the Water pump on my transit is knackered as the thing keeps getting mega hot then dropping back to normal, heater goes hot then cold and the top hose is red hot but the bottom one is cold off the rad.
I have flushed the system through and bleed it for airlocks but no different...

How hard is the water pump to change and how????...... Many thanks

There is a water pump for the 2.0 diesel that is 4 bolt on to the engine,
the water pump for the 2.4 diesel is a remote pump not directly connected to the engine.

Don't know how hard they are to change as we only supply parts.

RWD (2.4) is easy mate the FWD arent hard just alittle harder to get it to.
If it FWD when you get it off check the pas pump it runs the water pump and most of the time it them thats the problem.

They arnt that bad to do.There are a few pipes in the way.Like said the Pas pump is bolted to it and sometimes the shaft can wear that drives the water pump.
