Default Does anyone know about these...911 replica?

Well, it's Sunday afternoon, not much doing, and I was browsing ebay. For some reason, I was flicking through 911s, just curious as to what they cost really.

Anyway, I stumbled across this. I've never seen one before, and just wondered if anyone knew anything about them?

Looks-wise it's pretty convincing compared to a lot of kit cars, though the 1.6CVH will soon put an end to that when you put your foot down

Any idea what it's worth? As at the starting bid, it's getting towards real-deal money, which seems a bit extreme. Though with a proper engine in, it could be a lot of fun, but for all the hassle, you almost may as well just buy a real one!

Just wondering if anyone had seen them before and if they knew anything of them?

fitted with a Ford CVH XR3 engine, mated to a Beetle transaxle. The combination works very well and has a feel and sound to it like an original 911

It looks like a good rep.I think you would get alot of people wanting to play with you on the roads.I think they would know something wrong when they overtake you.

Ok so it doesn't sound like it's too well received

It did seem a lot of dollar for a rep. If it was cheap I could see why. Surely there were better engine choices for them than a CVH? Wonder if a scooby engine would fit or something.

Random anyway. Quite convincing to the untrained eye, just seems a bit pointless if you could just buy a real one for that money!

you may as well buy a beetle then make it fast for less than buying this!
