my cousin is after a new motor, well, not new new, but he's after another car now he's old and has a few quid to spend

he's looking at a budget of say £4k to keep it sensible and he wants and estate, so what are the options?

good and bad points of all things need to be considered though but engine wise he's not too fussed, but he doesn't want a luxury image type thing, so something like a bmw or volvo type thing are whats appealing to him at the moment so what could he get for his budget?

i know that i've recently seen/bought an e46 330 estate for £3k so they are out there

so any random other motors that may fit the bill?

he ultimately wants reliable transport for occasional use and not an everyday driver
