As per title, why is this done? (there must be a reason as a silicon adaptor hose is sold by Roose Motorsport?)
I had this set up on my old cossie and I'm rebuilding my new one with most of the parts from the old one. I also have a swirl pot in the system and I'm trying to work out where the hoses go! (I stripped the old one about 5 yrs ago and my memory is not that great lol). My header tank is a polished one so I want to use it really.
My new engine has a 4wd head on it - will this make any difference to this set up?

It is done because you can still buy brand new std 4x4 cos header tanks and they are relatively cheap.
std brand new 2wd header tanks - think they are like rocking horse doodoo.
