Default Starting Track days

Hi to all

I have been wanting to start doing track days for a couple of months now and decided this year i would get it up and running. I'm wanting to build a budget track day car with about £2000 i work at a garage so i have the place and tools to do it, the only thing stoppping me at the moment is what car to use.

I was planning to strip it out, rollcage, uprated suspension and brakes, engine mods can wait till i have more experience on track.

I was thinking something ford because i'm abit of a ford fan but open to any ideas anyone might have?

Thanks in advance

Clio 172 is pretty good out the box and you can get them for under 2k...just rip out the interior and put a cage in..job done !

you might be able to get a mk5 zetec S for that money

strip all of it out, 1 decent bucket and a cage and you have a very capable track car!
