Default Mk2 Golf Gti 2.0 8v

For sale is my Golf Gti with 2.0 8v conversion from a mk3 Gti

Tax end of April
MOT June
172k miles but the engine was swapped out for the 2.0 so the engine's not done this many miles.
Loads of history - MOT's, receipts etc
Full respray 18 months ago in original black
15" BBS RA's (pic shows old 14's, these were replaced with 15's)
Lowered all round - front has coilovers and rear has lowered shocks/springs. Rides very well.
New balljoints/ARB bushes/tracking done
Full service in November
EBC Greenstuff front pads + Black Diamond grooved discs

Gearbox is noisy and will probably need replacing at some point, but I've done over 1000 miles in the 4 weeks before Christmas and it didn't let me down.
Rev counter doesn't work
Passenger window regulator needs replacing

Not bad for a 21 year old car really.

£1500 for a quick sale

Contact me on 07985 115151

I'm based in Essex

It's an 8v car so i don't know if they're compatible?

Depends what was changed when the 16v engine went in. Looks a nice car, we git a Oak Bay Green three door which just finished on eBay. 125 Watchers and it didn't get half way to the deserve. Its now going back in the garage

Ah, I think you mis-read in that case, it's got a 2.0 8v now, not the 16v! Not had much interest so far, and i quite like the idea of the 2.0 16v as they're 150bhp standard. Might end up keeping it...

Hard to believe these are 20+ years old now!

Looks very tidy for its age. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks! Yes it is very tidy, it's got no rust and never been welded either. Sounds crazy but I'm missing owning a Ford for a daily driver...
