They are lovelly cars though and are built very well. Like all modern Golfs though they are a bit lardy.
New GTi seems to have been received very well. Thought about looking at one of those?

I have one at the moment. Didnt like it to start with, thought it was slow and bulky. Realy like it now though, sounds awesome with a quick 'exhaust mod', very quiet and sturdy at 120+ handles very predictably and with traction off power slides well. Brakes are good but soon fade when realy pushed due to weight of car. Very comfortable inside but front seats are too big (3dr car) as when u lift them to get in back they foul the roof and get stuck! Had no problems at all (at 23k now). Best of all it starts every morning and doesnt need the engine bay checking over before each outing (ala s2!). Go for it. Mines for sale if u fancy a deep blue 3dr? Only selling as i want an evo 6 rs more than you can begin to imagine. HTH.
