Default st170 judders/loss of power when hot??? help!!

hi all, really starting to bug me now... when the car just starts and say for a good half hour runs like a dream, only when it gets hot starts juddering violently ,this starts around 4500/5000rpm but the longer i drive it the lower down the revs it gets.

just dont understand why this only happens when car is hot? anybody any ideas?? has had new fuel pump, spark plugs, fuel filter, maf sensor checked....

Possible coil pack and leads breaking down due to heat

It's probably the fuel pump, i had the same problem on my ST170. Problem resolved after changing this pump

I've got this problem and i've also got a new fuel pump so would be interested to see if there are any other ideas!

Had exactly the same problem with mine. Was the fuel pump control module.

Well i've already replaced the coilpack so i guess it must be the CM!

My ex-boss had a program that he got from ebay that i plugged in and it communicated ok, but had no DTCs. Don't know what the official Ford software would say though...

Dont bother going to ford. Get an auto electrician who has something like the snap on solus etc to come and do a check. Should cost no more that Ł30-40.
