Angry st170 judders/loss of power when hot?

hi all, really starting to bug me now... when the car just starts and say for a good half hour runs like a dream, only when it gets hot starts juddering violently ,this starts around 4500/5000rpm but the longer i drive it the lower down the revs it gets.

just dont understand why this only happens when car is hot? anybody any ideas?? has had new fuel pump, spark plugs, fuel filter, maf sensor checked....

Try a coilpack, very common problem on most fords and tend to be worse when hot, only around Ł35 new.

Sounds exactly the same as the problem we had with ours. It ended up being the fuel pump control module under the rear seat on the drivers side. Had an auto electrician with a snap on solus diagnose it and the new part was Ł65 IIRC. The new part needed to be coded to the car by the auto electrician. I would suggest getting a diagnostic check done.

Its an either or problem, my guy feeling was fuel pump until i read you had replaced this, change the coil pack as Tabetha suggests, then i would looks at the fuel pump control module, cant be much else.

alright mate i've had the exact same problem for the last year and a half and change alot on the car including the coil pack but the only thing i haven't done is the fuel pump control module so i think this would be the first think to try for your car before you end up spending a f**k fortune
