Default Hid light kits

Im considering get a hid kit for my car but not sure on what ones. I think my old ones were 8000k and they were a but to bright or blue. So dont one them that bright. Has anyone got a pic of a 6000k kit fitted? And were is a good place to get a kit from dont want to spend loads either. There to go on a 06 v astra.
Cheers

4300k is the best colour temp to opt for imho.

Have to be mindfull that retro fit HID kits are NOT legal and could get you a ticking off and a fine.

...and are due to become part of the MoT test soon. Retro fitted ones will fail unless you have glass lenses, height adjustable lights, and headlamp squirters.

Technically any 'retro fitted' HIDs should fail - but if they are available as an option on your car then I can't see how they could fail a correctly fitted set.

the lower the number the brighter they are,
so if your old 8000k's were to bright you want to get 10000k's not 6000k's

Is it bollocks! It's nothing more than the colour temperature. The higher the number the further into the blue end of the spectrum you are.

Hids Direct have a nice image on their website;

I'm just about to order some 4300k 50w's for my E46, luckily I have projector headlights - not sure I'd fancy the agro from the law with reflectors and high colour temps .
