Default Turbo cam timing

Just wondering what your thoughts are camshaft timing on turbo engines.
Do you run less overlap to stop boost escaping down the exhaust or more to flush out spent gases ???
Engine is a zetec st170 with standard cams vvt removed and adjustable pulleys fitted

usualy run less overlap, or you just blow the boost straight back out the exhaust valve

Why have you removed the VVT, when set up correctly this can give awsome power/torque and MPG, correctly set some have seen 30% reduction in constant cruise consumption.

I thought the 600 could run it, maybe its the 710 i'm thinking of that can deffo run it ok. it's well worth having though!

Re cam timing - the way i'd do it is set it up on a RR with as little boost as possible and find what setting makes the best peak power, how else would you know what's benefiting the engine and what's losing you power?

Can be mapped to perfection on turbo, certainly on emerald ecu's that has proper control of all the VVC type set ups.
