need a cheap runabout for a bit - sub 1k
any ideas peeps.
due to start a new job in jan, so will mean loosing the company van ive been used to for the last 3 years.
would have used the 3dr, but thats not going to happen now!

so until the insurance side of things is settled, i need something that will:
a. be reliable
b. reasonalby cheap to use, fuel etc.
c. not be so fucking shat it will ruin my street cred

There's also a xsara vts below for Ł600 with t&t.
Loads of cheapies on there, sure there's a tdi golf for Ł1300?you could make some ŁŁŁ on that afterwards!!
I've got a Corsa available in the new year for Ł600 with (then) 5 months t&t but it maybe too small for your needs?

Got a very tidy X reg Escort 1.6 Finesse here with mot till Nov 2011, taxed till end of Feb, lowish miles at 79k, drives great (put new wishbones and track rod ends on for test) and has Ford CD player and nicer 7 spoke alloys etc for 700 quid - been 100% reliable in the snow, started first time after being underneath a pile of snow for 2 weeks!
