Default Machining standard yb pistons

Im considering getting 5 thou taken of my mahle pistons aswell as getting valve cutouts done. Does anyone see any possible problems doing this and also would anyone have measurements for the cutouts by any chance?

Harvey isnt so local to me unfortunately, do you think there would be much chance in him sharing his knowledge or any one else?

I would say just give him a ring and see what he says, very approachable bloke and very helpful, but I would not let distance get in the way of having a bit of work done by one of the most reputable tuners in the game. Other yb specialists worth trying are:

Norris motorsport http://www.norrismotorsport.co.uk/
jems - http://www.jemsracing.co.uk/cs_dragescort.html

Hope this helps

Taking 5 thou of deck will be no probs and putting deep valve pockets in will stop the cr coming back up so all in all no real difference in cr once the machining is done..

If you want i can get them done for you for around 80 pound??

cheers danny
