They are a bit on the small side but they look ok, the 18" copies would look good

Like i said to you on the text it looks ok but i think cause of the size of the arches the wheels look a bit small.I think you should of got the focus rs rims.

We could of gone on a road trip to pick them up.

i reckon the tyres are too narrow,i bet some turkey with a front wheel drive car purloined them before you did and fitted stretched tyres ?

fit slightly wider tyres and it would look better imo

I like them too don't worry, i cant work out why but i do

I would increase the tyre size, they look a little stretched?

Slightly wider and increase the profile height i little so they fill the arches better, make the speedo slightly out but would look a lot better IMO.

Should of bought the FRS rims Mush.

...the 18" copies would look ace on a MK2 Mondo though, if they weren't so bloody rare or expensive new, then I'd have stuck some on my old ST200 for definite.

Cheers,
Grant

Need the proper tyres to pull it off i think Fidster

nice colour although do look a little lost in the arches, wouldnt be able to go much lower with being a total pain to drive anywhere and takes the fun out of going anywhere in the car

What offset are they? Seem to stick out a fair bit. If you put wider tyres on I don't think you'd get away with it!

cheers for the input lads, really appreciate it. rite, i agree with the to small comment, they run 16's as standard, so there tecnically the same size as standard rims, bar a lot wider, but even though id prefer them bigger, size isnt everything lol. the tyres are stretched, but there not euro vw style, dangerously stretched, its only a little stretch. as for putting wider tyres on, i actually have a full set of nearly new tyres on my st24 rims, that are wider, but even with the narrower tyres on, with my kids in the back, they catch a little bit, so if i was going with wider tyres, id have to get the arch lip chopped/rolled, becasue it would catch pretty bad.

would never happen on a mondy mate, the offset is wrong, and even with 16's there touch and go, and mines only lowered 35mm. to run the 18" reps, id have to remove my wings and rear quaters, to stop them catching

It could of easily be arranged lol

Like i said when i had the 215/40 tyrs on my rims they looked a bit stretched.I had to buy good year eagle tyres for the rims cause they looked better where as cheaper tyres didnt look right and you could see the rim of the wheels.

i did grant, £300. tyres are nearly new, and wheels are in good shape, although they could do with a repaint to be minty mint, as the paint needs touching up in places. but when you see dreamers on ebay wanting £600+ for a set with good tyres, i got them cheap as chips, which was actually the deciding factor in me buying them, although ive wanted a set of EsCos rims on most my cars since i past my test, so if nothing else, at least ive got that out my system
