Currently driving an st170 which i have owned for 2 month. The car is fine really excellent handling but i am dissapointed with the power and have realised i can probably go quicker for lower running costs...

I love the look of an ST3 but would really need to push my budget to get one with right age/mileage etc

MK1 FRS i also love these but high price for an old car bit of a put off.

Have heard alot of good things about the civic type-r ep3 and saw a smoky grey coloured one at petrol station yesterday it looked fantastic, showed my st up! How are these performance wise compared to an st170?

Seat leon not too keen on these to be fair but would consider it...

Edit, im budgeting around 6-7k but may stretch up to 10k max for an outstanding example.

Im looking for a hot hatch with plenty of power, good reliability and 'reasonable' running costs insurance fuel etc...

Any suggestions or advice on the above?
