Pulling to the side, making whirring noises
I own a Ford Focus 98 year. Recently it's been pulling to the side I've taken it to a local garage and he's advised me to change the arms (the wheel hub? suspension strut? no idea, however the car is also making noises when i floor it and get up to 40-60mph and its like a whirring noise, my petrol isn't running down quick so i know it isn't the engine.
Does this sound - mind the pun - an arm that holds the wheel error? I was under the impression that sorting out the tracking/wheel balance (are these the same things) should ought to have fix this problem

Wheel bearing probably, does it get louder when you turn one way, then quieter when you turn the other?
Jack up each wheel in turn and spin by hand to see if you can hear any unusual noises.
