Smile my Series 2 RS Turbo restoration/Project

hello all, i was on this alot 2 years ago and im back again after buying my series 2 rst i am stripping her and restoring her and hopefully be done by next summer
basic spec
origionally scottish and moved over here (northern ireland), 3 years ago, stored for 2 years and now i have her
1990 escort rs turbo
diamond white
1989 kit
uprated turbo
chipped
cvh22 cams
clear lights all round
rear cosworth disc conversion
cobra alarm system.
ebc front strut brace
thers more im sure but i cant remember exactly. at the moment its on 17" kahn which i will be getting rid of and either a set of doglegs or another nice rim will be going on. the previous owner was a good friend of the family and has told me every detail about the car. supposed to be up around 225bhp but i have only got a reciept for 153 bhp before the cams, turbo and chipping was done.
been told that the car is a great project as like every escort it needs some welding. im not fussed on that though as we have every panel she needs and more.
anyway il explain more with the pics
this is before i bought her. the only pic i could get of her in her storage home lol

a wee vid of her from the garage

then i got her last night and this morning i got up very early and got up to my dads to get some pics before work commenced
yes i know the bonnets not closed lol

nice touch to the wing but i think il get rid of this

the steering wheel will also be replaced. and the interior needs a major clean

dont like these either so i will be looking for new dials as well

and so that was enough messing around. the plans are to restore the car to mint condition.
this is how my old bedroom looked like this morning lol
new floor pans, battery tray, sills, boot floor, rear archs. if im going to do this then im doing it right so all genuine ford panels.

so i started strippinf the interior out then
back seat

front seats

then checked the boot floor, wasnt as bad as we thought it would be, one patch of weld and it wasnt badly done so im unsure now whether il need all the panels i have lol

more progress pics every time i work at her. most weekends
cheers for looking

Dont go putting a single piston dump valve on m8 you need a twin piston suitable for cars with an airflow meter which is what the series 2 has!! Good luck with the resto m8 looks a tidy one, i myself have just bought a white f plate (my 22nd lol) white are definitly the best

The twin piston stops the car from stalling at idle where as the single piston everytime you come to a stop the car wont idle it will just stall!!! i think thats it but to be honest you are better off running without one as they are GAY LOL

photobucket not working at the moment but a minor update. we got some more holes today. the patch in the boot was not welded propperly by a previous owner and so i will be re welding it. found more rot on the floor and some in the boot. all easy enough to deal with and as soon as i can il post pics up

However, if you don't run one you could end up with loud chatter like mine had which is GAYER.

About those clocks. I'm turning mine into a tack car. Would you sell me the clocks?
