can somone give me an idiots guide to fitting one, might have a go at it MYSELF tonight.

already got spark plug in exhaust and ht lead, cant remember if the coil is in there. I have got a switch mounted too.

 

Flamer kits are so last year. Chuck it in the bin.

i got mine off the cossie in the shed somwhere, ghey or not it looks better than black unburnt fuel smoke, you know its soo going on the GTR when its done, AND the 5Turbo if i find one

and doms reasoning for it is sound IMO, esp the 2nd one

with regards to fitting it, umm, cant remember, White is deffo power, brown is earth, and the other one goes to the coil i think.

then on the coil you just ground the negative.

job done.

Just whatever you do, use PROPER wire for the power one (the white wire)

I didnt have any left so as we wanted to quickly try it out i used some that was almost but not quite as thick as the ones with the kit, and it caught fire in a petrol station

luckily my car was stripped out so no carpet to burn n put iself out in like 2secs, but caused a lot of smoke

 

least you were in the right place, put some petrol on it, thats wet, that should put it out

wonder if they cover flamer kits as cause of fire on my insurance policy

Depends on what 4 colour wires you have, but I presume it's one of Mike's.

In which case, you run yellow to the negative of the coil, blue to the positive of the coil.

Brown is earth, and black (or pos blue) goes to ignition live.

The rest should be self explanatory.

No, the ported shroud inlet on the turbo does that job

Itl have ALS too, but i know from experience that ALS or no, you will chuck out unburnt fuel smoke sometimes (i was nearly blinded by ians car once when he had the ALS on and it threw out a HUGE black ploom of smoke), and id rather that be a flame thanks

 

just got home, the control box has 2 black wires!! one brown and one blue. this is getting complicated

 

yours if differnet to mine then i bought mine off mike years ago

domt do what a customer at work done, he fitted the spark plug in the zorst, then a coil and then wired that coil up to is engines coil, when he flikked the switch the car never flamed at all but actually missfired
