Whats the reason you guys go rwd?
Fun factor?
Less weight?

Surely with less traction you take longer for 0 to 60 etc.tell me why lol

a bit of both , less weight and the fun factor!!! thers nothing like seeing an escort cosworth going sideways belching smoke from the rear tyres!! its the best of both worlds saph rwd fun and the looks of a escort cossi !!! yes i mite lose some 0-60 time but i dont mind its well worth it ask anyone whos done it. and if i ever want to, i will just swap it back!!

its also that the rwd drive set up is much more reliable and to make a bullet proof 4wd would cost 10k lol....

they dont all lose 0-60 mate as lees nms 3dr does 0/60 in 3.9 seconds on a t4...

and they are bloddy fun mines got a atb in and its the nuts with 500bhp lol

Try removing the rear arb for better traction in corners.
I converted my esc cos 6-7 years ago, fun on track, useless in traffic and rain.

less roll resistance, more traction, although more body roll. less likley to break traction on the opposite wheel if one hits a bump or is pushed upwards.

fit a good beam and diff and they are as capable as a standard 4wd,they will behave the exact same in the wet anyway,as they will rust at the same pace

The arb is way to stiff for rwd, innerwheel lifts off and spins alomost freely with original hobby lsd at least.

Maybe cous it's good for 4x4 setup? Or people automatically thinking bigger is better?

I changed the rear arb to a 2wd one. Mine is really good fun. And opposite to K. Goas old escort mine is GREAT fun in traffic also. Just the same as when it was 4x4 but when i floor the right foot the rear sits down and the car shoots away. Dont see any problem in the rain either, except that i have to wash the car on the underside after every ride. And i have 517WHP and 674Nm.
