how tall exactly? r6's tnd to have a higher seat height than other 600's. Maybe try a cbr600f they have a pretty low seat

Best bit of advice i can give is pop to your local dealer and have a sit on a few,or go to "look"at one or two local to you,but im 5"9 and my gsxr 600 is fine for size

About 5ft 8/9, mate of mine has a r6 and it's not the height on his it's the tank is huge and I think I need longer arms! Another problem!

r6's tend o be high short and stubby, as in the bars are pretty close to you so if your struggling to reach the bars on an r6 i think you best stick to 1 of these lol

That blade is lovely! I would have that but it's not really a good idea for a first powerful bike!

That NSR id wicked mate. My particularly short arsed freind just sold a CBR 600F Super Light. He got on with it just fine and although Sports Tourers are not usualy my thing, I have to admit I thought it was gorgeous. Have you thought of something like a Triumph Daytona? They look pretty small.

This is my baby,'96 yamaha fzr 600r foxeye that I repainted focus Rs green with a panther black frame and wheels but with the focus Rs green painted into the rim,I love it!!!only needs an Mot now as it failed on a few bits, tyre, forkseals and brake imbalance, got all the bits, just need a good day to fit them!!!

It looks a bit crap by there but that colour is stunning in the light, gleams like fuck!!!

As for bikes, get a 600 from any of the big four,Honda, yam, kawasaki,Suzuki and you won't go far wrong.as a rule, hondas are the best built,Suzuki the worst, but probably the more entertaining.yam and Kawasaki probably a perfect compromise.

I've had them from all those makes and I must say the Kawasaki zx9 was a monster, but perhaps a TAD quick for a first bike!!!

My first bike

You will get bored of a 400 very quickly. Modern 600 is great, my choice would be the GSX-R 600, great bikes!

To be honest, I have wanted a 916/996 since I first saw them in 1994 when I was 14. Passed my bike test when I was 17, and never got round to getting a bike.

Finally decided in 2008 I needed one, so treated myself to it for my 28th birthday .. Mrs was, less than impressed shall we say

hello i have a k7 gsxr 750 with loads of mods and there shit hot mate, the vfr 400 nc30 handle supurb but you will get bored and a vee twin may spit you off if your not smooth , but the thing i will say is once you get a bike do some track days and learn to ride it fast but safe, a track may not be the safest place to ride but it is the safest place to crash

Try loads for size at dealers.
When you find one that feels comfy for height and reach, take a test ride.
Simples.
