Default Where to get epoxy floor paint

After something along these lines:
http://www.kingfisheruk.com/item.php?id=70MBG

Need enough to cover about 70 square meters for our shed, anyone know anywhere that sells it cheaper in bigger quantities? (ie about 20-25 kg)

Looks alright that,I was going to suggest shoving some hardener in as I didn't bother when I did the paintbooth and it took fucking ages to dry, realistically about a week!!looked pretty nice though and did last well considering we were constantly watering it and moving cars in and out daily.

I think I used about 2 5litre tins,or 10litres of paint to do that area, this gives you an idea of the size,id say about equivalent of a big double garage so looking at your pics you'd need double, about 20litres overall.

From where I took the photo, there's a good 4ft further to go so I'd stick with my guesstimate on the coverage!!!

I didn't reduce mine so it was 10l of pure paint.

That looks good, was thinking about red instead of grey as thought spanners that fall under a car etc would show up better.
Yeah ours is about twice the size of a double garage.
Taking a week to dry wouldn't be a problem tbh as I'm away five days at a time working anyway.

You should be fine then with drying times.I did mine late on a Saturday night but a bank holiday effort so only really 3days,the fucking pricks working there didn't help much by bringing the cars in Tuesday evening when I had to go early despite me saying not too!!!

The red was far better really as you said when it came to losing spanners/nuts/bolts etc. It does prevent the light a bit but tbh youve got plenty of illumination in there by the looks of things.

Sounds a bit of a nightmare taking that long to dry when you're trying to earn a living!

Yeah we've got White Walls and ceiling and 64 foot of fluorescent tubing up so far and still with more lights still to go up so I can't see that being an issue tbh

I just bought some of this the other week and its spot on. I just swept the floor well and used a roller.Gave it one coat and it seemed to cover really well. I left it 24 hours then you can walk on it and gave it another coat then after 3 days its ready for heavy traffic and it comes in 20ltr tins

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Industrial-flo...item5888d93931

Theydo differnet colours than grey aswell. Think they do black. red green blue and yellow

Coworthguy, thats the sort of stuff I used on the double garage at home, its pretty good but I really want specifically an epoxy paint this time as it'll see such heavy use in terms of jacking cars up continually on it and rolling engine cranes around with a v8 off hanging off, that sort of thing.

J, not worth the time and fuel to go down there and look TBH even if it was a few quid cheaper than ebay, my time is more important to me than a few quid, but cheers for the tip.

P.S
Have bought the red epoxy stuff off ebay now, so not looking anymore anyway.

Was that just normal heavy duty floor paint not epoxy then?

Awesome workshop though, guessing that's for business use not hobby use?

I used 10 litres of ICI epoxy and covered 60 sq meters, I was very surprised just how far it went, and that was all I had at Ł140/ 5 litres

I did seal the floor first though btw.

p.s your lifters left saturday as discussed.

Looks good that MarkK, nice one

Sounds like my 24 litres I have ordered should do just fine then even though it will be straight onto concrete as the first coat can act as a sealer anyway.

Nice one on the lifters, im in london working till the weekend so Im sure they will be waiting for me when I get back

you cant buy any of it unless you live next door that is ?

as you have an activator that you have to mix in comes in two part (two pack paint) and you have about 30 minuetes to get it down before the epoxy resin sets.

I can post on here when im at work, but I cant go and do my floor while im in work 200 miles away from home.

So my OWN time is more important, company time has no value to me though

Doesnt sound that crazy but TBH I think that when jacking on it and sliding engines around on it etc it would get damaged fairly easily, plus its one thing using stuff you have lieing around but another going out and buying it like I would have to.
