Default Focus ST170 2002 traction control light

My traction control light has been on for some time now and it is not to do with the push button to turn it on or off as I bought a replacement. I have occasionally manged to turn it off if the car has been running a while and turning the ingnition on very slowly but comes on soon after. Is there any way i can turn it off as i dont really need it or can it be a cheap fix?

Any ideas anyone?

Cheers

Get the fault codes read. Without the codes it's only guessing what's wrong.

First thing to check are the sensors and their connections, they are both on the drivers side and have a short arm with ball joints each end, one is attached to the driver side lower wishbone the other is attached to the rear suspension cradle
