in the current climate it will be VERY dear.

ring a few specialists up and see how much they will charge you.

Might be worth joining the RSOC and trying the company they use. when I was 23 (six years ago) they quoted me about Ł450 on a 3 door cossie

Yeah i know mate, that's why I put it was 6 years ago as not to get the kids hopes up. Still think the RSOC scheme may be the best route to take

You could insure one at 19. However, you might want to get the Vaseline ready, as you will get shafted.

I would say its possible but like most people say it will cost a lot. My mate had his Escos at 21 and now he's 23 he has a 3dr aswell. I've always hated him for owning 2 lovely cossies lol.

I was 19 and looked at insurance. No mainstream company such as Aviva or Admiral will touch you!

I live in a good postcode, 2 years NCB and had an advance driving qualification and the cheapest i got was Ł4200

If i had that i'd of got one ha!

So i decided to work on my fiesta now runing a racing puma engine and it costs me Ł1000 lol

Good luck though mate

Hahahahahaha good luck mate, I'm 19 and a 1.3 Escort MKII can't be insured for less than Ł5k, unless there's some mystic guru of insurance I haven't called yet.

Should be able to do it for around 3-4k. If you can afford an escos you can afford the insurance!!!

I joined the RS Owners Club and used their insurance scheme.

Boncaster Insurance 01277 206769

or

Heritage 0845 373 4777

Both are specialists in RS insurance.

Your paying well over the odds for that then as I was Ł280 fully comp with Boncaster at 26 on my last modded saph this year with no no claims on a classic car policy
